Arrest in an apparent copper theft

Two men have been arrested two men on burglary charges after an incident Saturday night. Marshall County Sheriff's deputies were dispatched to the site of the former Willow Brook Golf Course and noticed that copper wiring had been cut from the building and utility pole. After a brief chase deputies were able to apprehend Jerry Chad Bearden and Dana Paul Bearden near the Marshall and DeKalb county line. Both men were charged with third-degree burglary and transported to the Marshall County Jail. Both have since posted bond and have been released.
