A Guntersville man faces domestic violence charges following an incident observed by Marshall County Sheriff’s Office deputies earlier this week. Deputy Robert Fann reportedly saw a man clutching a knife chasing a woman on Jordan Street in Guntersville. Fann began pursuing the man on foot. When the suspect entered a home on O’Brig Avenue, deputies followed and arrested Jonathan Lynn Havis, 43, of Guntersville. The Sand Mountain Reporter says Havis was taken to the Marshall County Jail, charged with third-degree domestic violence and resisting arrest. Havis posted a $2,000 bond Wednesday and was released from the jail.
