Alabama's unemployment rate has taken another big drop. Gov. Robert Bentley said today the rate declined from eight-point-seven percent in November to eight-point-one percent in December. Alabama's rate has now fallen below the national rate of eight-point-five. Unemployment was down in all local counties--Marshall at six-point-nine percent, Dekalb at eight-point-nine, Etowah at seven-point-six, Calhoun at seven-point-five, Blount at six-point-nine and Cherokee at seven percent even.
