Some new jobs will be coming to the area, thanks to action by the Gadsden City Council. The Gadsden Times reports the council has approved incentives for an expansion by Decatur Plastics Products, a company that does something called flocking. That involves putting a cloth-like finish on vehicles' dashboard areas. Decatur Plastics is currently in the Gadsden Airport Industrial Park but has bought a building on Thomas Avenue. The company says staffing for the new facility could require between 25 and 50 new employees.
