The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory today for an area including Marshall, DeKalb, Etowah, Calhoun, Cherokee and Blount counties. You can expect sustained wind speeds of 15 to 25 miles an hour with gusts up to 35 miles an hour. Strong winds will make driving difficult, especially for high-profile vehicles traveling over higher elevations. These winds will also blew around any unsecured outdoor objects and blow down loose tree limbs.
