The city of Guntersville has joined Albertville, Arab and Marshall County in opposing a redistricting plan by the Alabama House. It would increase the number of state lawmakers in the county from two to five. The Guntersville City Council agrees with leaders of other local governments who have said the new plan would weaken county representation.
