A Weaver woman on trial for murder has been convicted of a lesser charge. On Thursday, a Calhoun County jury found 36-year-old Jacquindalyn Carr guilty of manslaughter in the 2010 death of her husband. Carr had claimed she acted in self-defense when she fatally stabbed her husband, Demetrious, in the neck with a steak knife during a domestic dispute at their home. A sentencing hearing is scheduled for May 16th for Carr, who could get up to 20 years in prison.
