Boaz fire investigation

An investigation continues into a fire early Saturday morning at a residence on Alabama Highway 168. Boaz Police Chief Terry Davis says the fire, which caused about a thousand dollars' damage to the back portch of the house, is suspicious in nature. Davis says evidence has been sent to state forensic officials, who will look into whether an accelerant was involved in starting the fire.
