It turns out that a man who was recently hired as pastor of an Albertville church did a lot of prison time. 41-year-old Mark Allen Green was terminated by the Cowboy Church of Marshall County following his arrest last week on charges of sexual abuse and aggravated sexual abuse of two children in the Texas counties of Ellis and Navarro. But even before that, going back more than 20 years, Green faced a number of charges in at least six counties in Texas and spent almost a decade in that state's prison system. According to WAFF, there's been no comment from members of the church's Board of Elders as to whether they did a background check on Green before hiring him.
